my bacon turned crisp to sour,
my ale turned pale, the day ill fated,
I waited for you till the darkest hour.....

Tipsy yet not hammered i drank the freezing rain,
wobbly with goblet the last winter insane,
dusk kicked the day and dawn drew curtains,
you poured on me more than i could contain...

Feels like yesterday
O happiness! i reckon your last surprise visit,
i wrote you a soulful ballad.
This wait now should better worth my resit,
i shan't wait for the feast like a soggy salad.....

Lo & behold! i realize i'm certainly home,
trying to forget the ordeal i barely remember,
Nah Milady! don't you remove my coat,
it's raining, it's still raining November!!!!
